Our engineers are well-acquainted with Evaluate phase and preparing Pre-feasibility study report. The purpose of a pre-feasibility study is to evaluate 1-3 cases from concepts against a complete range of possible outcomes, in the context of all attendant risks: Economical, Organizational and Political and deeper techno-commercial analysis is performed. It is an assessment of project risks and opportunities identified to date (including financial, schedule, health and safety, political, etc.). Identify if there are any fatal project risks. In some cases, a decision ranking matrix will be used to help the decision-making process.

The Pre-feasibilitystudy has the following characteristics:

  • 5% - 15% engineering task are completed
  • Cost estimate and Schedule is of Level 1 type with accuracy is in the order of +25% / -20%.
  • Data is collected and assumptions are made with respect to the project scope, costs, and schedule and understand what & how to be accomplish the goal and how to exit.
  • Option cases’ CAPEX & OPEX is prepared
  • Project execution strategy and procurement plan/schedule is prepared.
  • Ensure major HSE Risks are identified, assessed & managed during this phase and project risk registry is set up.
  • Value assurance workshop is conducted
  • Bottom line contingency is in the order of ±20%

A Pre-feasibility study report includes Socio-economical evaluation based on quotations from suppliers, plant process flowsheet with preliminary equipment sizing and preliminary mass balance, preliminary P&IDs and preliminary layouts, process descriptions and general arrangement drawings/sketches sufficient to provide accurate estimates of facilities and utility services required.
The Pre-feasibility study & Field Development Plan is often considered to be the key documents in the project design as it lays the foundation for the project work scope carried forward into the .
